Saying goodbye

Saying goodbye to an iconic tree at the 6th hole at TPC Sawgrass. Sadly, disease and time have brought this beautiful tree to the point of no return. It is being removed today due to safety issues. It will alter the way the 6th hole is played, and photographers will miss the overhanging branch that framed so many photos.

Darius Rucker at the McGladrey Classic

A great evening with Darius and the boys at the McGladrey Classic at sea Island, GA. This will probably be the last time we catch the band before the end of the year. Always a great hang!

Big Break

This is the point where we take a big jump back in time. I stopped blogging for a while due to more traffic on Facebook and the Blogger interface being more difficult to work with. I hope to go back and start filling in the gaps and bring everything up to date!

2010 Fresh Express Classic at Stonebrae

I love this tournament because I get to visit with my brother Don and his wife Vivian. The downside is that TPC Stonebrae is possibly the hardest walk in golf. The course is built on the side of a mountain and has great views but really tough climbs!

The view of the bay from #1
NFL Hall of Famer and former SF 49er Jerry Rice was the tournament host and competed in the event on a sponsors exemption. He missed the cut, but put in a good effort. There was a concert after play on Friday. Pretty good party band, but really cold outside!
Steve Pate stretches on the second tee.I love the Nationwide Tour tee markers!
Kevin Chappell wins his first event.
And wins a new Audi!

Front Yard Landscaping

After an exceptionally cold winter, we decided to replace a few things we lost and add a new palm tree to the front yard.

Not a DIY sized tree!

Building up the mound.
We extended the flower bed around the yard and added pavers.

2010 Arnold Palmer Invitational

The 2010 Arnold Palmer Invitational had some weather issues forcing a Monday finish. I had to leave on Sunday since I had another shoot on Monday in GA. Ernie Els would go on to win.

An old-school leaderboard on #15. I really miss these!

A.P. shares a laugh with Robert Gamez. He probably told him he wore the same pants back in the 70's!

New member of the family

After my trip with Don last year, I gained a new appreciation for BMW motorcycles. Don's bike was flawless on the trip and he seems really happy with it. Beth and I decided to get a new bike that would be comfortable for both of us on longer trips. I was fine on the Harley, but the passenger accommodations left a bit to be desired. I had ridden Don's R1200RT a few times and thought it would be a nice compliment to the Harley. I sold the Ducati since I hardly ever rode it, and found a great deal on a gently used BMW R1200RT.
We picked it up on Friday near Orlando and stopped to visit Katie and
Eric while we were in town.
Here is a studio shot of the Beemer. My pics will follow soon!
